Welcome Me Back to the World of Blogging.

12:09 PM Edit This 4 Comments »
I'm finally blogging again!

I'm done with school and I got a B+ in Chemistry(pretty much impossible)! Last night I slept at home, but not in my own bed, for 13 hours. WOW!!!! Midnight to 1 p.m. I shouldn't admit that, I don't even know how I did it. I'm still kind of tired now, haha.
Next semester I will be switching majors again, to Mass Communications. I'm really bad about making up my mind. I will still be taking some sciences classes, so if I want to be a P.A. or something I will have that option open. I'm really excited for Mass Communication, they are all very exciting classes. I even get to take a Video Production class next semester. HOW COOL!? Maybe I'll make movies. Last night I had a dream I was a News Anchor, so maybe that is my future on the screen.
Soon I will be going to..get this.........ROME!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very excited. I'll get to see that fountain that is in the Lizzy McGuire movie, and I'll get to walk on some stairs that Jesus walked on. I'm also going to but lots of things. I will be posting lots of pictures when I get back.
The last thing I will say is, I've been meeting lots of Rovenstines on facebook I wasn't aware I was related to. The ones I've mostly talked to are descendants from Elvin. It is very interesting to talk to someone you are related to and do not know at all.

Okay well I have to go buy one more christmas present! I leave you with a picture. Aunt Beth gave it to me a long time ago. I love it.

The Circus!

5:31 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
I love the Circus. I went there this weekend. I wish I had a weird talent that I could be in the circus with! I want to marry a circus performer too, and have a pet elephant! Here are some pictures...

See the one on the very end? He is a baby! SO CUTE!

I cannot wait for Fall Break!

Because things like this will not happen...

I had 4 hours of sleep last night, because I was preparing for my Chemistry midterm. Tonight I went to bed at 10:45 to make up for some of the hours I missed. I was awaken at 11:15 to hammering on the cinder block wall me and my neighbor share. It has been going on for about 15 minutes. I think has finally stopped. Hopefully...

Bizet the Blue Colored Sheep

I still have to figure out how I'm going to print this in color. All the printers at school are black and white.

TWIRP

9:50 PM Edit This 4 Comments »
Twirp is the Sadie Hawkins type event at my school. This is my friend Kyle who I asked to go with me. He picked me this flower.

Everyone was there! It was great. This is when we were in line for a hay ride that took us to a corn maze. The maze was so hard!

After the maze the most ridiculous thing of the night happened. Six guys fit into one port-a-potty. Sick.

There was also a petting zoo. This is my roommate Anna petting a miniature horse. She is drinking beer....root beer.....

I took this next picture for my Grandmas. I took the leftovers from the chili dinner back to my dorm. Three containers of chili! It is better than cafeteria food!

This is my first post in a long time that actually has pictures. I've been slacking! (P.S. I got my awesome jacket at Goodwill. haha)

My book.

10:00 PM Edit This 3 Comments »
My book will be titled, "Bizet the Beautiful Blue Sheep." He is a sheep that is blue, and all the white sheep laugh at him. I've started it, and I think I've figured out how to incorporate Nanny into the book, but she'll be at the end. However, I'm kind of discouraged about my book because today while I as babysitting I read a kid, "Limu the Blue Turtle." ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The same color and everything?! I read the book, and it wasn't half as good as mine. However, I may change the title so I don't look like an entire rip-off. Also that book was about, its better to be good on the inside, and mine is about loving your outside and that is what makes you special AND NANNY!

Also, I'm going to Twirp this weekend, which is a sort of Sadie Hawkins. I asked my friend Kyle. I'm informing you just to start some rumors within the family. I'll try and get pictures on here by Saturday.

Children's Book

10:54 PM Edit This 7 Comments »
Okay, so 2 posts in one day, its pretty much a record since I've been in school.

I need your help though! I'm writing a children's book for my psychology class and its suppose to be about something we want to pass down, like something of importance. So I have some ideas, and I wanted to see what everyone thought would be the best, or maybe you have a better idea! Let me know.

Here is what I'm thinking:

Recycling! I'm sorry, but I'm obsessed with going green, and I just think we need to plant that seed at an early age.
Self Image and being happy with ones self!
Along the same line as self image, I was thinking maybe embracing uniqueness.
A King (Jesus) loving a little girl that had no special talent, but I'm pretty sure I'm ripping off another book that I just read about this.

That's about all I have right now. What do you all think? Is there some good ideas you can think of? I'll upload the book once I've made it. It's going to ROCK! Whatever it turns out to be about.

OH and read my last post about the party I want to have.

Oh Bartlesville, I love you.

4:25 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
I love Bartlesville. I'm here right now, and really should be leaving, but am not.
I love seeing my dogs, and my family, and sleeping constantly. I've probably got more sleep than I would in a whole week at SNU. I've probably ate more than I would at a whole week at SNU too.
I wish I had more time, to go visit everyone. I feel like I never have time. However, October 16-19th is my Fall Break. And the 17th, which is on a Friday, is my birthday! Can we please have a family birthday party in Bartlesville? Would anyone come? I really want to see everyone. I miss everyone. Let me know.

I saw a red BMW!

7:26 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
It was for sale, it was a 2001, and was selling for a little less than $11,000. I kind of want it...

Anyways, that was just my random fact of the day. The real reason I'm blogging, is because I have gotten complaints about not keeping up with my blog. So here is my glorious post.

Here is why I haven't been keeping up with my blog:

1. Chemistry Lab
2. Zoology Lab
3. Working Every Day
4. Relaxation Time!
5. Nap Time!
6. School
7. Things my Friends Drag me to.

So please forgive me for not giving the most speediest of updates.

My sleep schedule is haywire!

5:43 AM Edit This 5 Comments »
The last couple of nights I have got in bed around 2, and I roll around in bed until 3 or 4. Maybe you're saying, "It is because you sleep all day." Well this isn't true at all. The last couple of days I haven't got any sleep during the day, which makes it SUPER annoying that I can't fall asleep at night. So right now I'm at my 7:30 lab, with less than 3 hours of sleep.

Man I need a nap!

I'm suddenly craving designer.

2:54 PM Edit This 3 Comments »
Designer handbags, shoes, and so much more! I want them all. I just recently started looking them and they are all so beautiful! Too bad they all run over 500+ dollars.

Oh, did I tell everyone I'm going to Rome this Christmas! I CANNOT wait! Maybe I'll find some knock off designers there, that would be good.

The pound caught Turd!

10:22 AM Edit This 0 Comments »
Someone please save him! Since he is half pit bull they only give him a week until they put him down! He really is the nicest dog anyone could have, so if you know someone that is wanting a dog, let me know!

Intermural Volleyball

1:52 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
I am going to be on a intermural volleyball team, our first game is tomorrow night. I'm not really sure why anyone would want me on their team, because I am quite terrible, but I am very excited. I've though been practicing! I even served a ball over the net the other night. I think I have a technique now, and will do really good! ...Hopefully.

OH! and there is precious dog that is running around the campus. He is pit bull/lab and still a puppy. He is so sweet, he follows everyone around, and the whole campus loves him. No one wants to call the pound because we don't want him put down. For some reason the guys named him Turd Fergesun, so if anyone wants Turd, let me know! He is the best dog ever!

I got a job!

5:47 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
I am SO excited! I am officially a professional babysitter! I get to pick my own hours AND I get payed pretty good, and supposedly people tip on the required amount! Right now I just have to get my Child and Infant CPR and First aid and I am good to go! I am so happy to be making money soon! Plus, maybe some parents will let me do homework when their kids go to sleep?? :) That'd be good.

OH, and if my family ever needs me to babysit, let me know, you'll get the family discount: FREE! Well, I might make you throw in dinner now that I think about it. haha!

If you ever need a good babysitter(they have this service in the Tulsa and Bartlesville area too) just go to seekingsitters.com. All you have to do is apply, and they'll do a background check on you and make sure you're okay and you'll have a babysitter in no time. Seekingsitters, background checks their babysitters (they even requested me as a friend on myspace!) and the sitters are required to know CPR and first aid. So get them to babysit sometime, and maybe you'll get someone as cool as me!

I'm gaining the sophomore 50!

Okay, I really haven't gained anything that I've noticed, and I really don't think that its the "sophomore 50", but I am eating all the time! I really need some will power. I just don't know where to get it!

Today was my first day of school. My first class was at 8 and last night I went to bed after 2:30 in the morning. Me and my roommate just finished putting our futon together. It probably took over 2 hours. I am exhausted! Tomorrow I have a job interview at 9, but no classes!

Sorry I'm all over the place right now, but I haven't blogged in FOREVER! Hope this somewhat helps. haha.

Yesterday I watched Hair, if you're not familiar about with this, its a musical made in the 70's about the war, young adults, there is lots of weed smoking, some nudity, and really inappropriate songs. I LOVED THIS MOVIE.

Why?

It showed the issues of this generation so greatly. It showed what the majority of them believed in. That generation really wanted something-peace. It showed their unconventional lifestyle. It showed their protest, it showed them going to war. They made history. My generation has done nothing like theirs has, I'm kind of jealous, I wish my generation could get together and believe in something like that!

School and the Black Mambas

6:33 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
Don't worry, I'm not posting about how I am about to change schools AGAIN! I am posting to say that school starts in 15 days.

I cannot wait for school to start! I'm almost even excited for chapel 2x a week and cafeteria food! I also miss all my best friends!!!! I can almost guarantee that my blog posts will be about 5 billion times more exciting and I'll have a lot more pictures! Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with my blog since I'll have homework, a job, and tons of activities.

Here is a picture of the "secret society" that I am in called the Black Mambas.

The Black Mambas were formed the beginning of my freshman year when we found out no one was pranking in the girls freshman dorm. The boys freshman dorm had a prankster named The Black Rat. We named ourselves the Mambas because Mambas eat rats for dinner! The Mambas will resume this next semester, bigger and better than last semester. Our pranks were great, we even got blamed on the pranks when they weren't our doings!

I am NOT going to OWU this August. I will be attending SNU.

Once I told SNU the reason I was not going, they talked to financial aid for me and offered me some scholarships. I am very excited to be attending there! I can't wait to be back with all my friends.

Now all I have to do is call OWU and tell them the news.......

hello!

I love you all.

I'm not doing anything right now, which really doesn't explain why I haven't blogged in a long time. I'm still on the job hunt.

Good day all!

I'm sorry!

I'm totally slacking on my posting! I feel like such a poop head! So let me tell you how I am doing...

Bartlesville is GREAT! I love it, my family is here and my friends. Not that I've done much, AT ALL since I've been here. Mostly I sleep and eat and am probably getting really fat! I do play wii fit sometimes so maybe that will make me less fat.

For the first time in my life I am jobless. I have a love hate relationship with being jobless. I love not having any responsibilities, but I hate it because that makes me feel totally irresponsible and I totally need the money. I know I need to get a job, but I just can't make the decision on where I even would think I would like working. I really want to get a job I enjoy so its making my decision hard. Any ideas?

I think that's about all I have to say right now. OH and p.s. this Friday or Saturday-yet to be determined- I am throwing Dalene an "All American Going Away Extravaganza"! It will be great and anyone that can come should! I'm not sure what I'll be doing at it yet, but I do know there will be lots of fun, and maybe food!

Last Day :)

I was told by my wise aunt that I needed to be more detailed on my posts, so here is my details.

Today I am moving back after work at 5:30 to go live back at Bartlesville. I was going to be out of Oklahoma City for quite awhile, but not all my things would fit in my car so I am coming back Tuesday to get them and move finally out of my apartment(maybe I can visit my wise aunt then). Once I get back to Bartlesville I will have no job. I've never gone jobless like this, so I hope I will find one, but I will surely enjoy the time off. School at OWU will start for me on the 19th. I am thinking about going on a vacation while I'm not working, but I have no clue where I would go or how I would afford it.

Tonight when I got home I am hosting "GameShowfest 2008." I will be the host and have compiled many Jeopardy questions together. Be looking forward to the pictures!

P.S. VOTE ON MY NEW POLL!

FYI!

So I've decided that blogs need pictures to be interesting. Since I'm normally at work, I've kind of been slacking in the adding pictures to my posts department. HOWEVER, I found a picture on my photobucket that is quite old, but still CUTE!

This is Molly.

She is the only dog that we've had that has lived for a long time, we've had her since I was in kindergarten. You can read about our other dogs here. Not mentioned in that post is Blackie, who my dad killed when backing out of drive way on our way to a funeral. Dalene (my sister) and I did not know this man whose funeral we were going to, but we cried the whole time because of our loss.

TONIGHT IS TV NIGHT!

10:27 AM Edit This 2 Comments »
There is one reason I don't want to go to Bartlesville-I will no longer be able to watch Project Runway and Shear Genius.

Every Wednesday night I put on some comfortable clothes and sit in front of the TV to watch the best shows on earth. Project Runway season 5 just started, if you haven't seen the show it is about fashion designers who compete in unusual competitions. Last week they had to go to a grocery store and buy their "fabrics." One guy made a dress completely out of blue cups. It didn't win, the lady who made the dress out of vacuum bags and coffee filters won. Shear Genius is about hair stylist who compete against each other. Last week they had to do a hair style that their client could recreate perfectly without their help. This week they are doing something with bald ladies so I'm kind of confused-but I still can't WAIT!

If you have nothing to do tonight, I highly recommend watching these TV shows. CAUTION: You will be come addicted!

Just about every weekend my house is filled with my cousin Matt, Nikki, Renana and John, my cousin Donna, my sister, and just about anyone else who will fit.

We try to do something fun every weekend. Lately we have just been playing Wii. Don't get me wrong, I love a good game of Wii, we just haven't done anything out of the ordinary in awhile. The last unordinary thing we did was a video scavenger hunt, items on the list included: roadkill (the bigger the better), a piggy back ride from a police officer, and a picture in a firetruck. This weekend I am trying to think of something just as fun. I'm thinking maybe doing a gameshow type thing-I can do a pretty mean PowerPoint!

Does anyone have ideas? It'd be great if you helped!

Bartlesville Awaits

8:05 AM Edit This 3 Comments »
I'm probably the world's lamest person right now, but I am SO excited for Bartlesville. I know most kid's my age hate Bartlesville and they can't wait to leave. Not me, I embrace Bartlesville with open arms. I've always loved Bartlesville, it is where all my family and friends are. I use to not appreciate it as much, thinking other places would be better, but after being away I realize how much I truly love it.
Now that I'm going to Bartlesville I would like to become active in the community. I've signed up to help on Wednesday nights for the children's church. I want to do more though. I'm not really sure what activities are available. Maybe I can be a volunteer police officer! That would be fun! I doubt they'd let me do that though you probably have to be older. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to get more involved in my community?

July 25th!

9:34 AM Edit This 4 Comments »
I talked to Aunt Beth on the phone yesterday, she told me I never write in my blog. I told her, "That is because I do not do anything!" However, soon that will hopefully be changing. On July 25th I will go to my last day of work in Oklahoma City-perhaps forever. I still need to find a job in Bartlesville. I am planning on having a much more active life when I go back to Bartlesville. This will hopefully in turn result in more reasons to post on my blog!

Also, Aunt Beth told me Dalene had something wrong with her neck and posted it on her blog. I never dreamed of posting my spine problems on a blog, but I'll let you know! When I moved into my apartment a few months ago, my back started hurting. I thought I pulled something and waited for it to go away. Finally, I couldn't take the pain and went to the chiropractor. He took some xrays, and I found out that I have a curve in my back- or a mild form of scoliosis. This messes up the muscles, and that causes the pain in my back. My bones in my neck are also in straight line, and they schould be curved. This makes my head feel heavier, causing me to lean my neck forward all the time. Today I decided I want good posture and I'm trying to hold my head up straight, it hurts and feels weird. My neck will get use to it, right?

I'll pick door #2

8:34 AM Edit This 3 Comments »
I feel like I’m on a game show. I have the numbered doors in front of me, and people behind me screaming telling me which door to pick. Each door has a different prize and uniquely appealing, but I can only choose one. With the help of the audience, I finally choose which door to choose. Door #2. What is behind door #2? Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Nanny was in the audience yesterday telling me, “You need to stay here.” I’ve thought that for a long time now, but her direct answer made me finally make my decision. Soon will be my last day of work, which I am thankful for, I really want to live back home. However, I have no job, or form of income once I move to Bartlesville. This scares me, but I know that it will all fall into place.

Horse Riding in SD

Here is my horse. She ran into a lower branch of a tree a pine tree, got so close to a tree my knee scraped it and was bleeding, and wouldn't stop eating grass. She was the only draft horse. Her name was Belle. This picture, "shows her perfectly" as said by my sister.

However, I still liked my horse even though she was the most difficult. It was a nice ride too. Many beautiful thing. I was thinking the whole time how my cousin Evi would have liked it!

The Road Not Taken

7:30 AM Edit This 3 Comments »
I pretty much hate "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. Why? Let me show you the ending,

"I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference."

He figured out what road to take. That is a decision I cannot make; what road should I take? My two roads: Southern Nazarene University or Oklahoma Wesleyan University. What is stopping me from taking either road? At SNU I have so many good friends, friends like I have never had before, however financially it would be a burden for me. At OWU I would not make the same type of good friends, however financially it would be so much easier for me. Which is more important? I cannot decided, it causes me so much stress. It seems to be all I can think of, I am consumed by this decision. For quite awhile I was happy with going to OWU and then I started talking to my friends at SNU, I couldn't even bare telling them I wasn't going. It makes me sad to think I won't have the late night Sonic runs, crazy video making, saranwrap races, or even someone to always talk to in the dorm. I've prayed about it like people tell me, and I feel like there really isn't a "wrong decision" I just feel like I won't be happy either place, thinking the other would be better.

I hate stress. I hate decisions. How about someone just chooses for me?

I'm back!!

I have plenty of pictures from my trip, which I will blog about during this week, but for now I think I'll go to bed.
I've restarted the Abs Diet. I'm really wanting a 6 pack before school. I am giving myself weekly rewards if I stick to it, so hopefully that will motivate me more.
I also need to start looking for a job in Bartlesville. I suppose that right now would be a little early to apply though since I couldn't start working for a month!
OKAY, bedtime!!!!

Oh yes, and I hope everyone had a great summer! New blog tomorrow! (hopefully!)

Oh and I figured out how to take screen shot!!

Summer Vacation

2:28 PM Edit This 4 Comments »
I'm sure by reading my blog you have noticed my summer has been kind of lame. I stay cooped up in my house all week and on weekends go home to Bartlesville. However, this week will be different. On Friday I leave for South Dakota to visit my grandparents (mother's side) with my family. I am going to make it the best vacation EVER. I'm trying to convince my mom to let me go mountain climbing and cave exploring-I'm not sure on the technical term of "cave exploring." I told her we also need to rent some jet skis. We will also be hiking the Little Devil's Tower which is fun, but I want to fill the entire week with ADVENTURE! I realize I sound out doorsy right now, don't be deceived, I am the biggest girly girl, but I'm suffering from the effects of apartment fever. I also hope to get the entire family out to the Rushmore Maze and Mount Rushmore. I'm also extremely excited for family meals and Uno Attack. I CANNOT WAIT. Actually going could be a bad idea, and then I'll realize how much I hate being in Oklahoma City by myself, and then I'll want to quit my job. Hopefully the fun doesn't have that effect! ;) I still have about a month before I leave!

My New Obsession!

10:11 PM Edit This 1 Comment »
I really do have a reason for being up this late..well not an important one. I am suddenly obsessed with antique rings. It started out by my friend having the most beautiful ring in one of her Facebook picture. I wanted one just like it! I was about to ask her where she got it, but someone else had and my friend told her that it was her Grandmas old ring. I started looking up Native American rings because it was turquoise, but didn't have much luck. Then I started looking up antique rings and there are so many pretty ones! I can't go to bed I must look at them all! They run roughly from 450-2000 dollars, at least the ones I've seen.

The pearl one I'm obsessed with it is from the 1950s and the others I think are pretty. Too bad I can't afford them! Maybe some day.

Here is a better picture of its coloring.

My 5345866894 try to eat healthy and exercise. I've said I was going to eat healthy probably since 5th grade, and yet it never happens. I start diet after diet and never finish. I have purchased numerous work out videos only for them to never be opened.

So what makes this time different?

I'm 19 and I have more health problems than an 80 year old woman. I have constant back pains, which my chiropractor says is from a minor form of scoliosis, however I know that if I strengthen my ab muscles my back problems would most likely melt away. I have a high resting heart rate: 84 and the highest a person really wants is 70(according to google ;) ). I have bad acid reflux which means most time I can't even eat without being nauseated afterwards and I have a very high chance of some day having diabetes.

Yesterday I was watching a television show where this lady who was out of breath from just going through a dance routine said, "I need the body of an 18 year old!" That got me thinking, I'm 19 and should be in my prime, however I can't walk around a store without my back hurting or play a sport without totally being wiped out. I want to be healthy and I want to have energy. There is no more putting it off.

Wish me luck!

I read every article on MSN daily (haha!) here is one I found interesting, I'll let you read it with my commentary in italics!!

10 Kissing Facts

1. Two out of every three couples turn their heads to the right when they kiss.

2. A simple peck uses two muscles; a passionate kiss, on the other hand, uses all 34 muscles in your face. Now that’s a rigorous workout!
Yet supposedly it takes 13 muscles to smile, and 50 to frown!

3. Like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two lip impressions are alike.
I've heard the same about tongues....

4. Kissing is good for what ails you. Research shows that the act of smooching improves our skin, helps circulation, prevents tooth decay, and can even relieve headaches.
PREVENTS TOOTH DECAY!?!??!

5. The average person spends 336 hours of his or her life kissing.
AHAHAHAH! WOW! That is 14 days!

6. Ever wonder how an “X” came to represent a kiss? Starting in the Middle Ages, people who could not read used an X as a signature. They would kiss this mark as a sign of sincerity. Eventually, the X came to represent the kiss itself.

7. Talk about a rush! Kissing releases the same neurotransmitters in our brains as parachuting, bungee jumping, and running.
Too bad it doesn't burn as many calories as running! LOL.

8. The average woman kisses 29 men before she gets married.
How many woman does a man kiss before he is married?

9. Men who kiss their partners before leaving for work average higher incomes than those who don’t.
I'm kissing my husband every day before he goes to work!

10. The longest kiss in movie history was between Jane Wyman and Regis Tommey in the 1941 film, You’re in the Army Now. It lasted 3 minutes and 5 seconds. So if you’ve beaten that record, it’s time to celebrate!
Sounds like one boring movie!

....I hope you all enjoyed the 10 kissing facts!

WOW!

I am so out of shape. I just did a workout video, I thought I was going to die. (Okay so I'm really dramatic!) I had to pause so many times in between. I think however the more I do it the better I'll get. I have faith in myself. I even want to try and eat healthy tomorrow. I already have my breakfast planned out, instant oatmeal...plain and unflavored. YUM! I'll just add some 1% milk.

So I've decided writing a blog and watching Fraiser on the television late at night is not good combination. Is my blog even making sense right now? I hope I'm not that bad at multi-tasking! However, I think I am. Let me know...thanks..

My sister told me to fix where my ad was, she said it looks dumb. I kind of like it there. I'll keep it there for awhile. Tomorrow I think I'll make something exciting happen so I can have an interesting post.

RIP Fluffy.

Don't worry, Fluffy isn't one of my dogs, Fluffy is a story I want to share with you. A couple years ago my family bought a house on the corner of our somewhat "ghetto" neighborhood. We were going to tear the house down and evenutally make it one big yard (someone bought the house in the middle of our house and the one purchased, so it didn't happen), but before we tore it down, we explored. The house was full of junk, and most floors in the house felt like they would fall through when stepped on, really scary on the 2nd floor! Anyways, in the backyard there was a little grave lined with stones for a pet named Fluffy (I actually don't remember its name, but it was something generic like Fluffy). My father and Uncle Don had some great idea to dig Fluffy up, this grave had been around forever considering no one had lived in the house for over 8 years or more. Excited to see some little animal bones my Dad and Uncle started digging. However, what we all crowded around to see when they were finished was not little animal bones, rather a cat tied up in a Wal-mart bag! It had been preserved because it was wrapped in layers and layers of plastic bags! It was disgusting! They got Fluffy out, I'm not sure if they opened her up or not, because I bolted out of there when it was still in one piece!

FROZEN WAFFLES!!

I want them so bad. They are calling my name from the freezer, along with the oreos from the pantry.

..I don't know how long this new eating style is going to last.

The Ab Diet

12:25 PM Edit This 2 Comments »
I started this diet called "The Ab Diet for Women." In six weeks, supposedly I can loose up to 20 lbs. It hasn't been hard at all, today was the beginning of day 3 and I've already lost 5 lbs from the last time I weighed myself. However, I should clarify something, The Ab Diet is not a diet, it is a life long commitment, which hit me really hard today when I was at Panera Bread. I got this smoked turkey sandwich, but I really wanted some pastries from their bakery, and I though, "its okay I'll just eat one when I'm done with this diet," but I'll never be done! I'm always going to have to eat healthy. I imagine after awhile I will loose my cravings, but what if I don't? I'm allowed one cheat meal per week, so I'm going to have to start writing really long lists of what I want to eat for that one meal! So far for my cheat meal I'm going to eat, double stuffed oreos, pizza, curly fries, and cinnamon rolls. Yes this is just one meal, but I'll fit it all in there! Would you like to know more about the diet and less about my cravings? The Ab Diet is based on loosing weight around your midsection which is the most harmful. You eat 3 meals a day and 3 snacks a day so your metabolism is steady. Each meal has to include 2 of the 12 powerfoods which are..

Almonds and other nuts
Beans and legumes
Spinach and other green vegetables

Dairy
Instant Oatmeal
Eggs
Turkey and other Lean Meats

Peanut Butter
Olive Oil
Whole Grains
Extra Protein
Raspberries and Other Berries

Then there are exercise that should be done to build stomach muscles, but these are not even incorporated until the third week. Its been pretty good so far! I'll let you know how it goes! Hopefully I can stick to it, my cheat meal will be on Father's Day for lunch so I hope its worth it!

Oh my.

I say "oh my" all the time, its my favorite phrase. It works because thats what you say when something ridiculous happens, and my life is ridiculious like 24/7. What am I saying "oh my" about now you make ask (or not)? I have yet again changed my plans.
I am going to OWU again this upcoming fall. I can finally announce this decision because I told my good friend who I was going to be roommates with at SNU. That is the one reason I hate to go to OWU, all my friends are at SNU. I realize I won't make the friends I made at SNU because I won't be living on campus, and most likely not participating in the activities at OWU, but I still feel it is the best decision. Why when my social life will suffer? I can go to OWU free, for atleast a year, my mother says it is 2 and a half years, but I'm not sure if that is correct or not. OWU is going to be better in the long run, it will be cheaper and save me lots of money in general too. I will not use as much gas and not buy as much food since I'll eat my mother's cooking. Another thing I have changed, yet again, is my major. I will be studying biology. I want to aspire to be a vet. I love animals, I always have and I never wanted to be a vet before because I thought it would be very difficult. However, I started thinking about it and just because it is difficult doesn't mean I can't do it, and now that I'll be living at home instead of on campus it will be much easier for me to study.

Anyways, that is about it, I just wanted to inform everyone of my decision. I'll try and add some pictures of my puppies this week. I got a lot of pictures of them this weekend, they were very naughty!!!

Lucky!!!

Here is the picture of Lucky that Marlita asked for she is with the big baby Nor. This other picture shows how naughty she is! She has done that to about all my mothers flowers.

I hope you all have a great weekend! I probably won't because I am going to Ardmore, Oklahoma population 6. Okay I really don't know that but I am certain there is nothing there and thats where I am spending my weekend. My dad, uncle Mark, and Jonnie are doing Oklahoma freewheel and will bike all through Oklahoma for a week. That does not sound like fun at all to me, but heey that is fun for them!

I'll write more for you again soon!

All Dogs go to Heaven...Hopefully.

I am stuck at work. Typically I have nothing to do, but today I'm more impatient than most. I am going home this weekend, and just want to get on the road! I don't have many things to do to distract myself here. I can read msn, check my facebook and gmail, and then I'm about out of options. Occasionally I go to the bathroom or get up and walk around the office like I'm doing something to waste a couple minutes, but I don't even feel like doing that today.
I am excited to go home today because I will get to see the beautiful puppies! My dad's dog Nor, who will some day be a great wild boar hunter and see Lucky my mothers dog who hopefully won't die any time soon. Would you like to hear what I mean by hopefully she won't die soon? Let me tell the story...

I went shopping in Owasso last summer and saw cute dog clothes on sale. They were so precious and I had to buy them. This made me want a little dog so bad I couldn't stand it. I went to the local pet store and saw a cute white puppy with lots of energy. I had to have it! I could barely stand the thought of my parents saying no. Somehow I convinced them that it was my dog and I would take care of it and pay for everything it needed. Finally with probably some help from my mother, my dad said yes! I was so excited. I went into the pet store the next morning and just told them, "I want that white dog." They told me they had never had anyone just come in and ask for a dog before. I bought her, and they gave me some free food and a free vet visit. I put here in the passenger seat and started driving home, then the dog food fell from the top of my car onto my windshield. I was just really excited and forgot it. I named the dog Nieve, which means snow, because of my love for ... Hispanics! Anyways, I got it home and it cried the first nights and kept messing in its cage over night, but it grew to be a great dog. Everyone loved it. Then I had to go away to college. It was a very sad time, I had to say goodbye to my baby. I had taught her tricks, and house broke her, and took her everywhere, she really was like my child. Everytime I went home I was more excited to see her than my family, and when I talked to my mom on the phone I would always ask to talk to her. She was so precious. However, I noticed my mother started liking her a lot too. This was a problem, I fully intended on taking her with me when I got out of college. When I was working in the gym two months into school I got a call from my mother, she was crying a lot. I thought someone had died! She said, "Becca, Neive is dead." Oh my goodness I started crying! In front of all the people in the gym, it was really embarassing because I hate to cry. It turns out that my 12 year old brother's friend was driving my dad's truck on my Uncle Joe's land. Neive was in the back of the truck on a leash and my brother was holding her by it. For some reason Neive jumped out the back while it was moving (not the brightest dog) and she got hit by the back wheel. Well these were sad times and my mom could not handle not having a little dog. My dad bought her another one just like Nieve. It was so cute, but not my Nieve. I still liked it though, because I am a dog lover. This one didn't have a name for quite awhile until the next week we saw it eating a lizard. We gave her the name Lizzy. Nieve died in September and around Febuaray I got a call from my mother that Lizzy had drown in our tiny back yard pond, which really serves no purpose but to give the bees water. My dad did not want to get another one, my mom said she didn't but secretly she did. My dad started at looking at dogs even though he said he didn't want one, odd..He didn't want a small dog anymore though like Lizzy and Nieve, he wanted one he could go wild boar hunting with, even though he never goes hunting, even more odd. Anyways my dad found these dogs called Norwegian Elk Hounds that would be great for hunting and he had is heart set on it, yet my mother wanted a little Westie again. When I came home from Mexico during Spring Break, I saw the baby gate up in our back room, which is used as a doggy gate. However, I didn't see any dog. I started screaming, I knew there had to be one. I walked to the back room and there was a tiny westie. It was so cute. My parents had named it Lucky, because "It will be Lucky to stay alive." How appropriate. Lucky is still alive, and my Dad got his Norwegian Elk Hound for boar hunting some day, which he named "Nor" for Norwegian...I was not there when he decided this or I would have talked him out of it.
Now our family has 3 dogs: Molly who I have had since kindergarten, Lucky who hopefully will live a long life, and Nor who perhaps will someday hunt wild boar with my father.

I hope you enjoyed the long story, I enjoyed passing along some time at work. Have a good day everyone!

What I love..

Red Flowers

White Flowers

More White Flowers!! Actually just flowers in general!

What else do I love? (in no particular order)
  • Classical Music
  • Broadway Musicals and Listening to the Soundtracks Full Blast in my Car
  • Puppies
  • Snakes-actually ALL reptiles, I'd list them all but the list would go on forever!
  • MY FAMILY (extended included!)
  • Reality Television
  • Make-up, even though I barely wear it!
  • Bottled Water
  • Jewelry, but I never wear it!
  • Pineapple
  • People who Hold Open Doors
  • Different languages
  • Being an Expert, even though I'm not really an expert on anything! However, I like to be the only person in a room that knows something well enough to explain it to others
  • Taking Pictures and Photoshopping Them
I have plenty of things to add to that list, but I don't want to bore people! I didn't even put God on the list, but don't be deceived, I love him, VERY much, I just feel like he is a little more important than all those things and doesn't need to be on a trivial list.

Lets do the opposite now...Things I HATE
  • Chalkboard Erasers
  • When People Try to Get me to Buy Something, I'm so bad at saying no!
  • Fruit Flies
  • Dirty Dishes (Which I have plenty of right now!)
  • Ignorant and/or Skeptical People
  • The Windows Side of my Mac, yes, I can use either windows or mac on my computer, and I can NOT figure out half the things when I rarely venture to the Windows side.
  • Waking up to go to Work, if it was something fun, it might be a different story.
  • Blow Drying my Hair
  • Mean Cats
...I'm really just adding the most ridiculous things because I don't hate that many things. I like much more than I hate!

Okay, that was the random post of the day. I hope you enjoyed it. Do you love or hate anything? I like comments so hopefully I'm setting you up! ;)

Strike Out

I went to a Redhawks game this weekend with my sister and her friend Julie. I had a very good time until some obnoxious men came and sat behind us in the 2nd inning. We left after the 4th. I get my the Redhawk tickets free from work. OH MY GOSH, I really cannot concentrate. I'm trying to keep up with my blog, but man I am tired. I can't write very well as it is, but I'm watching television and half way asleep. I really want to keep up with this blog, because this is actually my second blog, my first one has one post from 2006. I guess I'm already doing 50% better ... or.....I am not sure, mathematics aren't very easy when you're tired either!! I will try and write my next post before midnight next time. I'll do better!

OH and here is an interesting picture...

What I've been up to...

I imagine mostly family and people know I will be reading my blog. Here is an update of what I am doing this summer.
I am staying in Oklahoma City after being offered a free apartment from my job for the summer. The apartment is very nice, however it is somewhat lonely. I am not much of a person who likes to go out and do things unless they sound extremely exciting. When I am at home or at the dorm people will always be there so I don't get bored. Plus with the job I'll be tired after working 8 hours and then do not want to do anything else after cooking dinner for myself. I've been going home most weekends, this weekend I will be staying in Oklahoma City though because Dalene is staying here. We are going to a Redhawks baseball game and shopping on Saturday.
This summer I'm going to South Dakota to see my Grandparents and thats about all I'm doing this summer. I would like to go to Mexico and visit Tim and Roberta, and now Jason and Lisa will be there. I had a great time when I was in Mexico over Spring Break. I recommend all of the family going to visit them.
After the summer I will most likely go back to school. I am not sure if I will go to SNU next semester, I do have scholarships to OWU. However, OWU does not carry the majors I am interested in. OWU would be a lot cheaper and save me and my parents a lot of money.
Well it was my bedtime and I have to get up for work tomorrow. I hope all of you are having a great day and I will write a new post again soon. I will try and put some pictures up of my weekend!
